After breakfast, this morning you will be pampered with a luxurious spa day complete with massages.
The state of the art luxury spa is built on an old barn completely refurbished with original stones and woods, creating a modern and ultra rustic atmosphere, nested in the peaceful quiet olive groves overlooking a charming outdoor pool for the ultimate tranquility and luxury.
In the afternoon, our driver and Italy Insight guide will take you for your private tour of Caserta’s Royal Palace and its gardens, a majestic palace like nothing like you have ever seen before in Europe; history, avant-garde, magnificence, Star Wars the Phantom Menace, Angels and Demons, and Mission Impossible III have all been filmed here, and once you have toured it you will understand why it is so special.
Fun Facts
Inserted as one of the 50 Italian UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997, the palace is a national treasure of truly incomparable splendor.
The Royal Palace of Caserta is the largest palace in the world by volume and revolutionized the world architecture thanks to the genius of Luigi Vanvitelli, the greatest Italian architect of the XVIII century.
Dinner at the award winning pizzeria, Pepe in Grani, Franco Pepe’s masterpiece in the small tiny town of Caiazzo. To those in the know, this is the place to be for The.Original.Pizza and it makes you realise why you have never in your life really eaten a pizza until you have it in Naples. These guys take their pizza seriously. Possibly the Vatican for religious pizza lovers. Please enter with respect and mouths watering! The special gourmet pizzas on the menu that create unique unique, new tasting combinations such as the seasoned regional ham exclusive to the Caserta region steal the show.
Pizzaiolo – (noun);  the Italian term for pizza maker, a highly regarded profession second only to the footballer.
Can a pizza really be a thing of influential beauty? Yes. Pizza is an ancient art, a national treasure, an artwork, a masterpiece. It is not something anyone can master, from your Pizza Huts across the world to the millions of pizzas being sold on menus all over the world in countless Italian restaurants, fastfood chains and takeaways, copycats, chances are you will always be able to find the trusty old pizza slice anywhere in the world, even on the most remote islands, if it is at all a tourist destination. But it is in the South of Italy, Napoli / Naples, to be exact, where this masterpiece of food was created. It is a national trasure, it is the ying to the yangs for Italians world over. And it was born right here, in Naples. The perfect, authentic real pizza? It is where the finest sprinkle of fresh basilico handcut by the hands of the expert pizzaiolo meets the perfect linger of Italian extra virgin olive oil, where the Mozzarella di Buffala slowly melts to release its fresh milk  perfectly blending with the fresh Italian tomato sauce, it’s a symphony in the best sense of the word. And, the crust? That is something that Pizzaoili all over the world can argue about to their death, the perfect crust, but Pepe in Grani gets their crust so thin and billowy that not eating it all immediately would be a crime.
