The Magic of Ischia
Ischia was dedicated to the God Apollo and his nymphs and is an island of volcanic origins. The thermal water has powerful healing effects on the skin and the respiratory system. Refreshingly cool, even on the hottest of days, the thermal water is great for invigorating showers and delicious to drink. As it evaporates, the water releases all its natural moisturising properties, leaving the skin as soft as silk. The hyper-thermal water bubbles up from the seabed at 90°C and mixes with the sea water to provide a therapeutic experience unique to Ischia unlike anywhere else in the world.

Ischia’s natural springs, mud baths and the benefits of its mineral waters have been known since 98 B.C – the most recently recorded was at the time of Pliny the Young in the basin of Gurgitello.
Ischia’s thermal water is alkaline and contains sulphur, iodine, iron and potassium.
